If you are like us, you've tried just about every product on the market when it comes to keeping your bike clean. You probably found the same results as we have - typically disappointing products that are great on promises but short on results.

There are plenty of great ways (and products) to wash your bike. The problem is how to keep your bike clean in between washes or while on a road trip. Until now...

In 2003 we found a material that worked great. The good news was the product was outstanding. The bad news was that the vendor disappeared so we spent the next several years tracking down manufacturers until we found the same great cloth with the same great results.

The vendor called it a "micro-fiber" cloth but, in reality, it was nothing like a microfiber cloth.

For starters, microfiber cloths are closer to a "terry cloth" material (but softer). True microfiber cloths run the risk of trapping dirt and small debris that can scratch your bike. Simply wet the cloth with ordinary water and wring it out. That is it. It is ready to clean.

 

The cloth is soft enough to use on ANY part of your bike without scratching. It also cleans off dust and leaves no streaks (which makes it great for chrome, paint, you name it!).

What about on the road?

 

This is where TheStreakFreePro really shines and this is when we really fell in love with it!

Simply wet the cloth and wring it out. Place it inside a zip lock baggie. That is it! It will be ready to use when you need a quick touch up. If the cloth is dry, just add water!

TheStreakFree Pro will last for a long, long time. If it gets dirty, just throw it in the washing machine (without fabric softener). It will stand up to 100's of washings. That is great for you...not so great for us selling it!

We spent a lot of time researching these cloths and as you can tell by the price, they are not really a big money-maker. But hey, if it fills a couple gas tanks for us on the way to Sturgis or some other bike week – it was worth the effort.
